Sanctuary Education Advisory Specialists (SEAS)

Helping to make #sanctuaries a reality for rescued, retired and rehabilitating captive animals.

Aegean Marine Life Sanctuary

Worldwide sanctuaries exist for terrestrial wildlife, but no permanent marine sanctuaries exist for marine animals in need.

The Aegean Marine Life Sanctuary aims to be the first refuge in the world to provide a solution for the long term retirement of formerly captive dolphins and home to others who cannot be released back to the wild.

It will set the standards for rehabilitation and retirement in semi-natural conditions, giving the dolphins the opportunity to re-learn their innate natural behaviours, such as hunting for live fish.

Rescued animals might be released to the wild, but those retired from the entertainment industry not knowing life in the wild, would be unlikely candidates for release.SEAS is fundraising & supporting this world first!
